Following an incident that escalated into a shooting at a location close to Sanford, Florida, early on Sunday, a 16-year-old male is in custody after shooting ten individuals, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. Among the victims was an NFL player.
Sheriff’s deputies reported that a sizable gathering at Cabana Live prompted police to respond to the destination.
According to the team, among those hurt in the shooting event was Tank Dell, a wide receiver for the Houston Texans of the NFL. The team stated that after being evaluated at a nearby hospital, he was later released.
Police heard gunfire just after midnight coming from behind the building. They investigated and discovered that while the gunfire had dispersed the throng, ten persons suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Christopher Bouie Jr., 16, was recognized by police as the suspect and was placed in a juvenile detention facility, according to the sheriff’s office.

According to investigators, the exchange began as a friendly verbal dispute but turned aggressive. The teenager was not involved in the dispute at first, according to Bouie’s arrest report, but he later “turned around and pulled out a black and silver handgun (9mm) and began shooting towards a crowd of people.”
Owing to the seriousness of the charges, local news outlets chose to identify Bouie even though he was a minor.
According to the details of his arrest, Bouie is accused with “possession of a firearm by a minor, use and display of a firearm during a felony, firing a weapon on public property, and attempted homicide.”
According to the report, Bouie was disarmed nearly instantly by the officer who took him into custody. As to the report, multiple individuals who were shot by Bouie have declared their intention to file charges.
On social media, Cabana Live replied.
“As most of you have heard, there was an incident outside our establishment last night. We are cooperating with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and praying for all those involved,” according to a statement posted on the Cabana Live Facebook page.
