Round Rock, Texas, police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a suspect in relation to a shooting that occurred at a Juneteenth celebration and resulted in two fatalities and fourteen injuries.
According to Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks’ early Sunday statement, the incident occurred on Saturday night at approximately 11 p.m. local time when a fight broke out between two groups in the Old Settlers Park. Around that same moment, according to Banks, someone pulled out a gun and started shooting, injuring several individuals.
The Round Rock Police Department is asking anyone who witnessed the event or has information on the suspect’s whereabouts to get in touch with them.
According to authorities on Sunday night, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has offered a $5,000 reward for information that results in the arrest of the perpetrator or suspects.
It did not seem as though the two individuals who were pronounced dead at the scene were involved in the broader confrontation, and the number of shooters was unknown, according to Banks.
On Sunday, Round Rock Police stated that fourteen patients had been sent to hospitals due to gunshot wounds.
According to earlier reports from emergency response officials, at least six patients were sent to hospitals with injuries that were “potentially serious”.

On Sunday night, no information about the patients’ conditions was given.
The Austin-Travis County EMS had earlier reported that two children and four adults had been taken to nearby trauma clinics.Presented by the city government and a local nonprofit, the Juneteenth Festival featured a free performance on Saturday night featuring a number of acts.
According to Banks, the incident happened close to the concert stage’s vendor area.
