Jayden Lee Kline, an 18-year-old Fridley resident, was shot to death last year. A guy is accused of first-degree murder.

The suspect, who is currently eighteen years old, was seventeen on December 21, 2023, according to the Anoka County Attorney’s Office. Prior to his charges being changed to adult status by the attorney’s office, he was charged as a juvenile. It was the first time he appeared in court.

Just west of University Avenue, at the intersection of Third Street Northeast and 45th Avenue Northeast, Kline was discovered shot, according to the police.

That night, neighbor Lisa Garcia told that she hurried outside to do CPR on Kline.

“She seemed like a sweet girl to me. For this to happen was horrible, horrible beyond words,” Garcia stated. “To be dropped off at their driveway like that, I mean, not dropped off, dumped in the driveway like that, it just feels so personal.”
