High pressure is responsible for the calm, enjoyable stretch of weather in Arizona.
PHOENIX — The pleasant, calm weather streak continues.
Arizona will ring in the new year dry, under a partly cloudy sky. Midnight Valley temperatures will drop to the lower 50s. The Rim Country and White Mountains will fall into the lower 30s, and midnight temperatures in Northern Arizona will be in the lower 20s.

A ridge of high pressure will keep the calm stretch of weather in place all week, with climbing temperatures on Thursday and Friday.
