Nearly two dozen people participating in an illegal gambling enterprise in South Los Angeles were either detained or cited by authorities last week.

A news statement from the Los Angeles Police Department stated that several anonymous tips about a potential illicit gambling enterprise and drug activities at 10122 S. Figueroa St. were sent to L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers.
