After coming dangerously close to drowning on May 21, the three-year-old son of rodeo star Spencer Wright and his wife Kallie passed away on Sunday after being taken off life support.
“After several sleepless nights, lots of research, multiple conversations with the world’s best neurologists and millions of prayers, we are here in the face of our biggest fear,” Kallie Wright stated on Facebook.
“We prayed that those things were him defying odds and proving to us that he wanted to stay here, but we see now he wanted to give us time to find peace with letting him go.”
She stated that his battle “kind of gives that T-Rex strength a whole new meaning” since “here soon I’ll climb into bed with my baby and hold him as he falls asleep for the last time on this Earth.”

About two weeks ago, Levi Wright, who turned three in March, was playing outside the family’s Beaver County, Utah, house when Kallie Wright briefly came inside.
When she got back, she couldn’t find Levi, but she saw that the toy tractor he was riding on was flipped, so she contacted 911, according to a family acquaintance.
About a mile distant, Levi was discovered unconscious in a river. After being transported by air to a Salt Lake City hospital, it was determined that he had brain damage.
May 24 was when he opened his eyes, but an MRI revealed he wouldn’t make a full recovery, and his prognosis “shattered” the family.
In 2014, Spencer Wright won the world championship in rodeo, and in 2023, he was ranked 35th overall.
