31-Year-Old Tamarac Man Killed in Devastating Motorcycle Collision

Authorities have reported that a 31-year-old man from Tamarac lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Saturday.

Mark Emory Harmon, residing in the 8000 block of Northwest 68th Terrace, was riding a 2012 Suzuki GSX-R1000L motorcycle with a group of other riders on West McNab Road.

The incident occurred around 12:44 a.m., when, for reasons still being investigated, Harmon’s motorcycle veered off the road and onto the sidewalk.

He collided with a concrete light pole, causing severe damage. The impact was so significant that the pole broke at its base, while the motorcycle came to rest in a grass lot near a church.

Tragically, Harmon was pronounced dead at the scene. The Broward Sheriff’s Office has stated that excessive speed is believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash.

Detectives from the BSO Traffic Homicide Unit are currently investigating the incident.
