WPBN: An arrest has been made by law enforcement in Arizona following the kidnapping of a woman who was 75 years old and the discovery of her boyfriend’s body inside their residence.
According to a press release, deputies from the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of a lady being kidnapped in Pearce at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Friday.
Pearce is located approximately 80 miles east-southeast of Tucson.
Approximately three o’clock on Friday afternoon, the woman stated that she was in the workshop located in the backyard of her house when a man dressed in dark clothing and wearing a mask entered the building and pointed a gun at her.
A blindfold was placed over the woman’s eyes, and she reported to the police that the man had restrained her. After then, she became aware of a number of “loud noises,” but she was uncertain about what was taking place.
The perpetrator allegedly placed the woman into her silver Chevrolet Avalanche from 2007 and forced her to sit in the back seat after night fell, according to the police officer’s report. According to the deputies, the suspect drove away from the residence.
The woman broke free of her bindings and made a break for it immediately after the truck came to a stop, recognizing that this was an opportunity.
She was able to make a dash to a nearby residence in order to get assistance.
