Infant Hospitalized After Alleged Shaking Incident, Fort Myers Man in Custody

On Saturday, a guy, age 22, from Fort Myers was taken into custody on charges of aggravated child abuse.

After a newborn was taken to Golisanos Children’s Hospital in September with brain bleeding, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office special victims unit was reportedly contacted by the hospital. This information was provided by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

A search warrant was carried out on the man who is accused of shaking a baby who was just two months old.

The injuries sustained by the youngster were consistent with them having been shook. It won’t be known how severe the brain injury is until the youngster matures.

It is stated that Nathan Stone became frustrated while he was caring for the child and shook the infant as an expression of his anger.

Stone was detained after being apprehended and placed under arrest.

It is uncertain what the child’s condition is at this time.
