Miami Man Faces Harrowing Ambush, Shoots Brother in Self-Defense

A man from Miami was set to appear in court on Tuesday, a week after being arrested on an attempted murder charge. Police stated that he tried to surprise his brother, who ended up shooting him in self-defense.

According to Miami police, the incident occurred on October 3rd near an apartment building on North Miami Avenue in Little Haiti.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m., a man called Whack’s brother and suggested they all go outside to smoke together. Whack’s brother, who had been threatened by Whack five days earlier, armed himself before heading outside.

Once outside, Whack’s brother didn’t see the man but spotted his brother hiding in the bushes.

Suddenly, Whack emerged wearing a black ski mask and hoodie, brandishing a black pistol. He pointed it at his brother, who responded by firing in an effort to protect himself, hitting Whack multiple times.

During the struggle, Whack’s grip on his brother’s shorts caused his ski mask to slip, revealing his identity.

Whack’s brother fled to a nearby store and called the police. Medics later took Whack to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Whack was being held without bail in a secure section of JMH, according to jail records
