Search Underway for Missing Virginia Woman Linked to Florida Man Wanted for Attempted Murder

A frantic search is happening for a woman who was last seen with a man wanted for attempted murder.

Bella Hope Wheeler, 21, from Wytheville, Virginia, was seen leaving the home of Zachary Cole Heatherley, 24, in Tampa, Florida. This was before she went missing, as reported by the Wytheville Police Department.

The two supposedly told Heatherley’s mom that they were going for a walk but never came back. It’s not clear what their relationship is.

Heatherley, described as 6 feet tall, 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, was supposed to turn himself in for attempted murder on Friday but didn’t show up.

In 2022, the Hillsboro County Sheriff’s Office asked the public to watch out for Heatherley, as he was a suspect in a shooting.

Meanwhile, a missing persons flier describes Wheeler as standing 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing between 120 and 130 pounds. Her eyes are brown and her hair is black.
