PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — A guy from Palm Beach Gardens has been arrested and taken into custody after deputies say he abducted a lady at gunpoint and then sexually abused her.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), the victim was on her way home on Sunday when she was accosted by Darrell Moreland Jr., 31, who had a pistol in his hand.
According to the statements made by investigators, Moreland approached the woman and coerced her into getting into his car. After that, he took her to an unknown area and sexually assaulted her while holding a pistol to her head there.
Moreland was identified as the suspect in a short amount of time, according to the detectives. On Tuesday, the investigators were successful in locating and apprehending Moreland. A sexual battery with a dangerous weapon, abduction, and robbery with a deadly weapon were all charges that were brought against him.
