WEST PARK, Fla. — Police shared surveillance video of the car they think was used to kill an 18-year-old boy by shooting him.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office said that soon after 7 p.m. on Saturday, dispatch got a report of a shooting on SW 30th Street and SW40th Avenue.
When police got there, they found 18-year-old Kyandre Johnbaptiste lying in the road with a gunshot wound.
Johnbaptiste was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital by Broward Fire Rescue. There, doctors told his family that he was dead.
Homicide and Crime Scene officers heard from witnesses that Johnbaptiste was riding an electric scooter when he was shot and fell to the ground.
The car shown in the security tape was an older, four-door, light gray Toyota Corolla, according to the detectives.
The video is from when the movie was being made. Detectives are asking anyone who knows where the car and the people who killed Johnbaptiste are to get in touch with them.
