17-Year-Old's Speeding Car Nearly Kills Officer on Virginia Highway!

An officer in Virginia had a narrow escape when an out-of-control vehicle driven by a teenager at more than 120 mph crossed a median and hit a car while the officer was conducting a traffic check, according to the authorities in Virginia.

According to WRC-TV’s reporting, the terrifying event that took place on Monday took place as an officer from the Fairfax County Police Department was conducting a traffic check.

On the Fairfax County Parkway, the officer was reportedly talking to the driver of a gray 2012 BMW 750 Series that he had stopped over before continuing his conversation with the driver.

At around 11:38 a.m., Eastern Daylight Time, the officer was reportedly speaking to the driver of the vehicle via the passenger’s window while the vehicle was stopped on the southbound shoulder of the highway.

According to WUSA-TV, at that point, a black 2018 BMW M3 driven by a 17-year-old boy careened into the median from the northbound lane and crashed into the stopped vehicle, injuring the officer as he attempted to get out of the way in time.

During a news conference held on Tuesday, Chief Kevin Davis of the Fairfax County Police Department stated, “It’s just miraculous that we’re not talking under different circumstances.” “In all sincerity, it most certainly is.”

Despite coming dangerously close to suffering serious injuries or even losing his life, the officer, who has not been named, maintained his composure throughout the ordeal.

“My cruiser was hit,” the officer radioed to dispatch as he vaulted the railing and circled back toward the car that had come to a halt. “The driver was struck. I’m attempting to find out whether there have been any injuries.

“(The officer’s) grace under pressure was calm, cool, and collected,” Davis added. “He instantly jumps over the fence and goes on the radio. Immediately. I mean, that’s pretty incredible, right?

According to the authorities, the cop only incurred minor injuries.

According to WUSA, the adult motorist who was pulled over during the traffic check was sent to a local hospital with minor injuries after being pulled over during the traffic encounter.

Since then, they have been allowed to go free. The teenage driver, along with their two teenage passengers, all incurred minor injuries as a result of the accident.

According to the WRC, the driver of the car that went across the median was issued a penalty for reckless driving, which is a lesser offense.

Davis stated his concern at the press conference by stating, “It was going way too fast.” “At first, it was a rocket, but later, it evolved into a missile.”
