Double Shooting in Jacksonville Park During Attempted Carjacking, JSO Reports

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — After being shot during a failed carjacking attempt on Thursday evening in the North Shore neighborhood, a man and a woman are both currently recovering in the hospital, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred in that neighborhood. The occurrence occurred at an earlier time in the day.

At six o’clock in the evening, two people were sitting in a vehicle that had been parked on Vermillion Street when a man approached them and made an attempt to steal the vehicle from them, as reported by the police. Both victims sustained gunshot wounds.

Before the man and the woman were able to pull away and drive themselves to the hospital, Sergeant Lloyd of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office stated that both of them had been shot in the upper torso.

Jacksonville Park During Attempted Carjacking

Lloyd has indicated that there was a third passenger in the vehicle and that they are fine despite the accident that occurred.

Lloyd said that the authorities are looking for a man who is wearing nothing but black at this time. In addition, he mentioned that the individuals who were charged with carjacking do not know the person who attempted to rob them of their vehicle.
