Kissimmee Resident Armed with Machete in Dollar Store Incident

A machete-wielding Kissimmee man is charged with stealing from Dollar Tree, dragging deputies on a chase, and chasing a customer outside.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office reports that at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Scott Pierre entered the Dollar Tree at 11500 Oceanspray Blvd., declared he was robbing the store, and then pursued a customer into the parking lot.

Pierre allegedly took a machete to the customer’s automobile and tore off the license plate. Pierre allegedly tried to flee in a Toyota Camry after deputies showed up at the Dollar Tree.

Pierre attempted to smash into the cop cars during a brief chase while brandishing the machete from the window.

Pierre pulled over at a stop sign near Piney Court and Treadway Road, cooperated with the police, got out of the car, and was taken into custody.

It is said that Pierre kicked the cops while he was shackled.

According to deputies, he was brought to the Charlotte County Jail on suspicion of armed robbery.
