Shocking Jacksonville Man Pleads Guilty to Brutal Murder of Mother of Three!

A guy from Jacksonville pleaded guilty to killing a mother of three who was 34 years old and had three children. Otis Tucker could go to jail for up to the rest of his life while he waits for his sentencing in July.

Investigators say that Ashley Fowler was hit with a hammer and choked with an electrical cord in November of last year.

Taylor Fowler, her brother, said, “She was such a good person, she didn’t deserve it, and it happened in the most horrible way.” “As far as the trauma, pain, and dealing with this, it’s been literally unbearable.”

It happened at an apartment complex in Southside. Her brother Taylor Fowler said that they used to live nearby and that she would sometimes walk through the area, but they don’t know who Tucker is.

Fowler said, “There is no way at all that this has anything to do with my sister.”

The family had attorneys, so they knew a guilty plea was coming. They also thought the deal was the best way to move forward, but Taylor said it was still hard.

He said, “We didn’t want to make the wrong choices or give up on the person who had caused us the most pain in our lives.”

Tucker has also been arrested for violence in Virginia in the past. The Richmond Police Department thinks he is responsible for the disappearance of Keeshae Jacobs, who was 21 at the time, in 2016. Fowler said that they have talked to her family since they found out about the link.

“I hope they put more pressure on her situation and look into it more to find out what’s going on,” he said.

Action News Jax was told by the Richmond Police Department that anyone who knows anything about Jacobs’ case should call Major Crimes Detective C. Key at (804) 646-5984 or Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.

The agency says that you can also use the P3 Tips Crime Stoppers app for smartphones, and that all of the ways to report to Crime Stoppers are private.

Ashley Fowler remembers her as a caring mother who always put her family first.

“She made me laugh. Taylor Fowler said, “She cared about everyone.”

Fowler said, “Whenever I was in trouble, she opened her home to me or helped me in any way she could. That’s the kind of person she was.” “We love you, Ashley, and you’re making us so much stronger.”

The State has also asked the judge to give Tucker a harsher sentence because he is a repeat offender and a repeat violent felony offender. The judge will decide Tucker’s sentence on July 31.
