On a busy WNBA Saturday, the Chicago Sky, led by Angel Reese, are now leading the Connecticut Sun in the third quarter.
And just now, Alyssa Thomas, the standout player for the Sun who placed second in the WNBA MVP voting for 2023, was sent off the court for a horrible foul she committed on Angel Reese.
When Reese and Thomas were fighting for a rebound in the third quarter, the alleged foul occurred.
Thomas put her arm around Reese’s neck and shoved her back as she was leaping up for the rebound. Thomas’ leg was placed behind Reese’s in the meantime, resulting in a clothesline for the “Chi Barbie” as well.
Reese took a hard fall on the play, landing on what appeared to be her shoulders and head.
The former LSU star lay on the ground for a brief period of time before rising to his feet and taking a seat on Chicago’s bench as the officials assessed the foul.
