DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — After a car fire broke out and spread to their home, two women suffered from smoke inhalation.
Delray Beach Fire Rescue said they got a call about a car fire at a house on Country Manors on Saturday night.
When firefighters got there, they found two women who were both in their 70s and had smoke in their lungs. The two were taken to Delray Medical Center to get help.
Damage can be seen in photos taken at the spot. All that is left of the cars and the walls around them are their burned-out frames.
Fire rescue said that the state fire marshal and DBFR detectives are trying to figure out what started the fire on Hummingbird Lane around 11:30 p.m.
It looks like the fire started in a car that was parked in the apartment’s garage. It then spread up a wall and into two homes.
