Shocking Man Sentenced to 13 Years for Terrifying Carjacking Incident!

FORT PIERCE, Fla. — A man from Fort Pierce got 13 years in federal jail for holding a woman at gunpoint and taking her car at a gas station.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said that 25-year-old Xavier Daughtry got his term on May 10, and it was made worse because he tried to stop the court from doing its job.

In February, a federal jury in South Florida found Daughtry guilty of a crime.

On May 9, 2022, just before midnight, a victim called the Fort Pierce Police Department and said she had left her car at a gas station on U.S. Hwy 1.

When the victim came back to her car after going into the store, she saw Daughtry trying to get into her car.

The victim told cops that when she went up to Daughtry to talk to him, he pointed a loaded.45 caliber pistol at her face and told her to “back the f— up.” Then, Daughtry got in the car and drove away.

As a result of the call, the police department put out a BOLO for the car, a 2022 Nissan Altima, with the license plate number.

Less than eight minutes later, police in Fort Pierce saw the Nissan pulling onto Saint Frances Drive and stopped it. Officers found a fully loaded.45 handgun on the driver’s seat of the car after they caught Daughtry.
