Miami Man Faces Charges for Exploiting Teenage Girl Who Relied on Him

MIAMI – A girl who is 16 years old informed police officers that a man who is 30 years old assured her that he would help her when her father kicked her out of their home; nonetheless, the man ended up taking advantage of her, according to the police.

According to the police report, Michael Lazaro Morales, who was free on bond for a felony charge at the time, picked her up and drove her to his residence in the far northwestern part of Miami-Dade County.

According to the police, Morales, who is also known as Morales-Fernandez, promised the girl that she could sleep in his bed at his residence in the Gladeview community, so she believed him and fell asleep. Morales is also known as Morales-Fernandez.

According to what the adolescent girl reported to the officers of the police department, she woke up when he started to sexually assault her, and she was eventually able to run away and contact 911 from a lavatory. She informed the cops that she woke up when he started to sexually abuse her.

According to the authorities, responding officers from the police department arrived at the residence at approximately 4 a.m. on Sunday, in the vicinity of Northwest 66 Street and 23 Avenue, and held Morales for questioning.

According to the records, he was taken into custody by prison officers at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center shortly before 7 o’clock on Sunday evening, after he had been detained by police officers.

Morales was required to have a translator present for his appearance in front of Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer of Miami-Dade County on Monday. He wore a green safety smock. According to the records, Glazer warned him that he was being investigated for serious “crimes against a child” and told him to stay away from the victim.

According to the documents from the jail, Morales was out on bond for two separate felony cases. One of the instances involved grand theft, which is a third-degree felony. The other individual is facing charges related to two counts of carrying a concealed firearm as well as one count of felony theft of a firearm.

According to the documents filed with the court, Morales is now being investigated for two new crimes: sexual battery on a victim between the ages of 12 and 17 and lewd or lascivious molestation against a kid between the ages of 12 and 16. On June 5 at nine in the morning, he will have his arraignment hearing scheduled.
