According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, a guy claims that he blacked out and then woke up on top of his victim at a hotel in Port Richey. The man then proceeded to stab his victim a total of 29 times.
Jeffrey Thompson III, 26, is accused of stabbing the victim, a 66-year-old male, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the La Vista Inn motel, which is located off of US Highway 90, according to the deputies. The victim survived the attack.
The sheriff’s office reports that Thompson revealed to them that he was the one who stabbed the victim.
According to the allegations, Thompson’s mother was there during the event and informed the deputies that she saw her son stab the victims many times. She claimed that she yanked him away from the victim and then watched as her kid went to the sink to wash the blood off of himself.
After the stabbing, Thompson’s mother followed him into a different room and waited there.
Deputies reported that Thompson told them that the victim was the one who had gotten him angry over the course of two days. He also admitted to being under the influence of methamphetamine when he was awake for many days.
The patient was sent to Bayonet Point Hospital after the accident. He required immediate surgical attention and later submitted testimony.
The victim remembered that Thompson had picked them up while they were walking back to the motel on the road. As soon as they checked into the hotel, Thompson immediately began striking him repeatedly in the head. He stated that he had faith that Thompson was going to murder him.
Thompson was taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine as well as attempted felony murder.
