After a police officer in Philadelphia was shot on Saturday night in the Kensington neighborhood of the city and suffered significant injuries, a suspect is currently under arrest.
Just prior to 8 p.m., according to the police, two officers were conducting a traffic stop in the 3500 block of F Street involving four people.
When they stopped him, the cops noticed a holster. At that point, according to the police, a man shot three shots at the policemen as he ran from the area.
A bullet to the neck wounded one of the cops. After firing again, his companion took the wounded cop to Temple University Hospital.

The shot cop is in critical condition in the surgical intensive care unit. Late on Saturday night, Kevin Bethel, the commissioner of police, gave a speech outside Temple University Hospital.
“I often come here with a lot of anger about what my men and women must endure. Today I come with a different request: today I sat in an auditorium with about 75 to 100 men from the East Division and we held hands as Commissioner Stanford brought us together and we prayed for our officer,” Bethel stated.
