Miami Resident Arrested in Key Largo Publix Theft Case Involving Meat and Beer

KEY LARGO, FLA.– An individual from Miami who was apprehended after it was reported that he stole a considerable quantity of meat, beer, and a number of other things from a Publix that was situated in Key Largo was able to get away with the theft.

Roberto Jesus Machado, 38, has been identified as the suspect in the shoplifting incident that took place on Monday afternoon at the Tradewinds Plaza Publix, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. The incident took place at the store.

Soon after that, deputies saw Machado at a bus stop close to Publix, where they determined that he was in possession of the stolen products. They arrested Machado for his involvement in the theft. Machado is said to have acknowledged to conducting the theft after being confronted by law enforcement officials. The deputies are the ones that provided this information.

Machado is anticipated to face more charges connected to theft in Monroe County for his role in previous episodes of grocery store theft, during which things valued at hundreds of dollars were also stolen.
