Two sisters got into an argument on Monday over using the restroom, and as a result, one was sent to the hospital and the other was taken into custody, according to a Miami-Dade Police Department arrest record.
Around 2:30 p.m., according to the police, the victim reported that her 20-year-old sister, Cynthia Pierre, grew enraged over her use of the shower and began banging on the bathroom door of the house near the 2100 block of Northeast 163rd Street, which is located just east of Interstate 95.
When the victim opened the door, according to the authorities, the disagreement became physical. The fight proceeded through the house’s rooms until ending in the kitchen, where the victim pulled a knife in self-defense, according to the report.
The victim said that Pierre had stabbed her sister in the neck and forearms after he had successfully wrested the knife away. The woman, according to the authorities, was able to flee and dial 911 despite her injuries.
The woman was taken to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel, according to the authorities; her current status is unknown.

Pierre was reportedly taken into custody by police, who then escorted her to the MDPD’s Intracoastal Station to interview her.
After being informed of her Miranda rights, Pierre denied stabbing her sister; yet, according to the officials, she was taken into custody and sent to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. She is accused of aggravated child abuse with the intent to cause serious physical injury.
The victim’s age was not disclosed by the police in the report that was made public.
According to jail records, as of Wednesday afternoon, Pierre was still bonded out of TGK for $7,500.
