In an effort to counteract the rising cost of gas brought on by the conflict in Ukraine, which has led prices to rise since the beginning of 2022, Americans may be eligible to receive up to $3,200 in stimulus payments.
The federal government is working on a gas stimulus that is scheduled for confirmation in July 2024 to provide significant assistance to qualified individuals, although the precise amount is still pending. This is in addition to the several state-level programs currently in place.
Due to the rising expenses of transportation to and from places of job or school, low-income households are especially exposed to these costs when it comes to cooking, heating their homes, and water.
In the event that the policy is approved by the government, it will take the form of a one-time payment that will assist people and households in what is anticipated to be “meaningful” relief for those major affected groups.
Due to the high cost of gasoline, which is now around $4.24 per gallon, assistance will only be available to legal residents or citizens of the United States who make less than $75,000 (or $150,000 if married and filed jointly).
