Target plans to hire 100,000 seasonal workers for its retail locations and supply chain facilities in advance of this year’s holiday shopping season.
The business announced on Monday that the purpose of the seasonal hiring is to support both its current workforce of tens of thousands of “On Demand” workers who have flexible schedules and work shifts.
“Guest advocate, front of store attendant, fulfillment expert, general merchandising expert, food and beverage expert, and style consultants” are among the seasonal in-store positions that Target is hiring for. Warehouse activities are supported by its seasonal supply chain openings.
The firm claims that the “majority” of the seasonal workers will work in Target retail locations. Applying is now open through September 25 for seasonal store jobs.
Target became the latest business to reveal its recruiting goals for the season after Bath & Body Works and cheap grocery Aldi recently declared their intentions to add 30,000 and 13,000 employees, respectively.
