Wrestler Samantha Fiddler Missing in Florida: Community Rallies for Help

Wrestler Samantha Fiddler Missing in Florida Community Rallies for Help

The public is being urged to assist the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) in their ongoing investigation into Samantha Fiddler’s unexplained 2016 disappearance. On November 19, 2016, Fiddler, a 29-year-old aspiring wrestler, disappeared from Bartow, Florida.

Fiddler, who is originally from Alberta, Canada, relocated to Florida in March 2016 in order to pursue a career in entertainment and wrestling. She traveled through Polk, Orange, Miami-Dade, Brevard, Broward, Osceola, and Seminole counties while in Florida.

“Eight years have gone by, and we’re still as dedicated to finding answers as ever,” stated FDLE Tampa Special Agent in Charge Mark Brutnell.

Her parents and three children, who she left behind in Canada, are entitled to the truth. Anyone who knows her and may have useful information is encouraged to get in touch with us.

Around 3:30 a.m. on November 19, 2016, Fiddler—also known by her aliases Lucy Morningstar, Samantha Steele, or Samantha Lloyd—was last observed departing the Polk County Sheriff’s Office jail. A failure-to-appear warrant had led to her arrest, but she was soon processed and released. She left the institution with other people, according to witnesses, but she hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Fiddler’s online activity, particularly her frequent use of Facebook, unexpectedly halted the same day. Given her substantial social media following and her propensity to maintain relationships with her loved ones, her silence seemed out of the ordinary.

Concerned by Fiddler’s disappearance, her family hired a private detective in Jacksonville, Florida. After two years with minimal results, the Bartow Police Department publicly asked FDLE for help in 2018.

Since 2020, FDLE agents have interviewed a large number of people in Florida and Canada in an effort to gather information that could help solve Fiddler’s case.

The case’s most tragic elements, according to investigators, are that Fiddler was a loving mother who put her kids first. Her Facebook posts show how much she loves them and how determined she is to provide them a better future. She is lively, vivacious, and joyful, according to friends and acquaintances, and she could light up any space she walked into.

A scar on Fiddler’s lip and other tattoos, including one on her foot and another on her rear shoulder, are distinguishing characteristics that might aid in her identification.

The absence of activity in her life after her disappearance has particularly caught the attention of her family and detectives.

She hasn’t contacted anyone she was close to, opened any new bank accounts, or returned to social media.

Even if they only had a brief encounter with Fiddler, FDLE is asking anyone with information regarding her whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance to come forward.

“We’re asking the public and Samantha’s friends and acquaintances to help us find her. She’s out there and she needs to be reunited with her family,” Brutnell stated.
