Newsweek reported that Kay Granger’s extended absence has raised alarm among her constituents. Granger is a representative for the 12th Congressional District in the state of Texas.
The news organization stated that it was reporters from The Dallas Express who were ultimately successful in locating the 81-year-old individual in a memory care facility located in Fort Worth.
In contrast, the Congresswoman’s son, who disclosed to the Dallas Morning News that his mother has been dealing with “dementia issues,” stressed that his mother is not residing in a facility that provides memory care but rather in an independent living space.
Following in the footsteps of previous high-profile politicians who have experienced age-related challenges while on the job, the current predicament that Granger is living in has been brought to light.
