16-Year-Old Pennsylvania Boy Shot in Head by Friend, Staggers to Mom’s Room with Final Words

WPBN: After being accused of shooting and killing his teenage friend inside their home, a guy who is 16 years old is currently evading the authorities and is on the run.

During the incident that took place on Wednesday in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Eric Anthony Krassman Jr. is suspected of shooting and killing Darell Love, who is also 16 years old.

After getting a call from Darell’s mother, the Pennsylvania police department stated that they had hurriedly arrived at the residence located in the 300 block of 13th Street just before 10 o’clock at night.

When she was in her bedroom, she heard a “loud bang.” Shortly after that, her son came in, seriously bleeding from his head, and informed her that his friend had shot him.

Krassman was accused of dropping a semiautomatic handgun in the living room of the residence, and then fleeing the scene before the police arrived, according to a criminal complaint that was filed after the event.

Darell was taken to a neighboring hospital in an emergency situation; nevertheless, he unfortunately passed away as a result of his injuries.

A criminal homicide charge and a charge of possessing a handgun by a minor are now being brought against Krassman. During the course of the manhunt, the police issued three photographs of the adolescent, who is described as having blonde hair, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall, having blue eyes, and weighing approximately 120 pounds.

According to reports from the Mirror US, they appealed to the general public to refrain from approaching him since they suspect he may be armed and dangerous.

Trying to come to terms with the unexpected death of the ‘kind-hearted’ high school kid has been a challenge for Jhzmier Haynes, a friend of Darell who has been crushed by the news.

In an interview, she conveyed her perplexity by saying, “I didn’t think it was real. I woke up hoping that it wasn’t real and I woke up and saw that he died and I was just hysterical all morning… If you were down he’d bring you up and that’s just the type of person he was. He was really kind-hearted and everything.”

While this was going on, a member of Darell’s family published a heartbreaking statement on a GoFundMe page that was established to assist with the costs associated with Darell’s burial. The statement read, “Darell Love unexpectedly passed away due to gun violence.”

The person who he believed to be his friend was the one who ended up taking his life.

“Darell was only 16 years old, a sophomore in high school. He was the sweetest soul you would ever meet, always smiling and so respectful. He definitely knew how to make a room light up with his jokes or his laugh. He loved everyone and was loved by everyone. We’re so sad and heartbroken by this thoughtless act against my brother.”

Before his tragic death, Darell looked forward to the holiday season, according to a heartwarming memorial posted on the Washington Funeral Home’s Facebook page.

The post stated: “Darell was a 10th-grade student at Beaver Falls High School, located in Beaver Falls, PA. He enjoyed school and was a good student. He enjoyed playing basketball, video games, and listening to music. Although he enjoyed his downtime, he had career plans to attend Voc-Tech School for Welding in January.”

“His family was everything to him, and he looked forward to Christmas and the family get-togethers. The holidays were times when the family, aunts, uncles, cousins, and all relatives from afar would get together to celebrate. It was the time of the year that Darell looked forward to. We know he will be sadly missed and fondly remembered for his young and spontaneous spirit.”
