Mississippi Woman Accused of Robbing Dollar General — Then Returning for Her Cell Phone

GULFPORT, Miss. – A Mississippi woman is facing serious charges after police say she returned to the scene of an armed robbery to recover her forgotten cell phone.

According to Gulfport police, 34-year-old Jessinya Faye Ezell was arrested on May 12 and charged with one count of armed robbery — just hours after the crime took place.

She Allegedly Robbed the Store — Then Came Back

The incident happened on the evening of May 11 at the Dollar General located at 2600 Dedeaux Road. Police say Ezell entered the store, brandished a weapon, and demanded cash.

During the robbery, a physical struggle broke out between Ezell and a store employee. She fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

But the twist? While investigators were still processing the scene, Ezell returned to the store — asking about a cellphone she had apparently dropped during the robbery.

Officers on-site identified her as the suspect and took her into custody.

Suspect Held on $100,000 Bond

Ezell is currently being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. Her bond has been set at $100,000, and she is expected to face court proceedings in the coming weeks.
