RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. — The Riviera Beach Police Department revealed on Friday that Larry Koonce III has been apprehended as the main suspect in the murder of his father, Larry Koonce Jr., which occurred on May 8, 2022.
Koonce III was taken into custody on July 30, 2023, and is confronting charges of first-degree murder involving a firearm, as well as armed robbery. He is currently detained at the Juvenile Detention Center.
Although the specifics of the evidence leading to Koonce III’s arrest have not yet been disclosed by the police, the motive seems to revolve around the act of robbery.
