Though menus for this moment were still being updated at the time of publication, Per Se’s nine years in business had seen the appearance of dishes including butter-poached Maine lobster, duck foie gras, and various caviar interpretations.

Sushi Nakazawa
When it originally debuted in 2013, reservations for Chef Daisuke Nakazawa’s name restaurant were difficult, and they still need to be made in advance.
Its continued quality is the reason for its tenacity, and the fact that it is (relatively) inexpensive in the context of NYC’s omakase scene also helps.
About twenty courses cost $180 at the bar and $150 in the subtly charming dining room. It can still come out to be hundreds cheaper than some of its more expensive counterparts, even with the $100 sake pairing that is optional.

Saga
Saga, a relatively new addition to NYC’s fine dining scene, debuted in 2021 on the 63rd story of a stunning Art Deco skyscraper downtown, spanning two dining rooms and multiple patios. In the end, the vistas are objectively spectacular, but its seasonal tasting menu costs $298 per person.
It’s worth it wherever you value social media interaction. Favorite dishes from the always changing menu in the past have included black bass with morsels of clam, scallop, and lobster, two dry-aged duck preparations, and a cute sweet dish that was one of nine courses.
