A woman who is 21 years old and a teenager are currently in custody following a disturbing incident captured in a video posted on Instagram.
The video, shared on Wednesday via Homestead Social, exhibits a man being robbed at gunpoint.
The individuals involved Kaya Burgos, aged 21, and Jayden Sanders, aged 18, have been charged with armed robbery.
According to the details provided in the arrest report, the victim was invited by his friends on Sunday to go to the beach. When he entered the car, Burgos was seated behind him. In a live video streamed on a social media platform, Burgos is allegedly seen pointing a semi-automatic firearm at the victim’s face, while Sanders holds a rifle directed at him.
Subsequently, Burgos demands the victim hand over his personal belongings. The victim complied and surrendered his sneakers, gold chain, camera, and iPhone.
As stated in the arrest report, the victim was instructed to exit the vehicle near the intersection of SW 353rd Street and 18th Avenue in Homestead. After the suspects provoked the victim to engage in a fight, they returned his belongings, excluding the chain.
Following the incident, the victim fled to his home, according to the police.
Both Burgos and Sanders are currently detained in jail without the possibility of posting bail.
