Authorities Seize 41 Pounds of Meth in Arapahoe County Operation

Following an undercover narcotics purchase that resulted in an arrest, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office claimed that it had seized 41 pounds of meth along with other substances.

According to the sheriff’s office, the operation happened on May 17 when the Special Investigations Unit of the department staged an undercover drug sting to purchase six pounds of methamphetamine.

It is stated that the suspect was distributing drugs to Centennial and Arapahoe County.

At a motel located in the 6700 block of South Galena Street, an undercover investigator encountered the suspect. SWAT team personnel were claimed to be on standby by the sheriff’s office.

The suspect showed up at the sheriff’s office at approximately five o’clock in the evening and made his way over to the undercover agent. Following a car takedown by SWAT officers, the subject was apprehended without further incident.

The suspect’s car was smelled by a K-9, and the results purportedly showed drug use. For the car and the hotel room the suspect was staying in, a search warrant was acquired.

A pound of cocaine, 1.5 pounds of heroin, 33,000 fentanyl tablets, and 41 pounds of meth were discovered during the search. The sheriff’s office reportedly reports that $113,000 in cash and a semiautomatic weapon were discovered.

The suspect, who was being held at the Arapahoe County Jail on a $250,000 bond, is expected to face numerous drug and weapon charges, according to the sheriff’s office.
