A Mississippi puppy who was shot at his last residence is looking for a new home in Massachusetts.
Six months old Biscuit, a Lab mix, was brought to the Animal Rescue League of Boston by way of the group’s collaboration with the Animal Relocation Program of the ASPCA.
According to the ARL, Biscuit was first placed under a four-month quarantine due to an unidentified wound that the state ordered.
ARL was able to confirm with the Mississippi source shelter that the wound was from a gunshot, since they were concerned that he would not be able to mingle as much if placed in quarantine.

The ARL claims that Biscuit’s previous owner took the dog to the shelter, claiming that a bullet had slightly injured Biscuit’s head and that a neighbor was firing a gun near the property.
Though lively and amiable, Biscuit is cautious around strangers and unfamiliar circumstances.
According to the ARL, Biscuit will require time and tolerance from his new home in order to help him overcome his trauma, reassure him that he is secure, and develop into a well-mannered dog
The ARL Brewster Animal Care and Adoption Center is accepting adoptions for Biscuit.
