Business Owner's Face Slashed in Dothan; Suspect in Custody

A man was taken into custody by the Dothan Police Department shortly after midnight on September 4 for allegedly cutting the face of a company owner.

A man named Pierre Jay Jacoby Parrish, who is 38 years old, was discovered to be trespassing at a business that is situated on the 700 block of North Range Street, as stated by the Dothan Police Department.

After the store had closed for the day, the proprietor of the company was made aware that someone was still present on the premises. It was later determined that the individual in question was Parrish.

Parrish first cooperated with the owner’s request that he leave the property; but, he later returned, attacked the owner by slashing them in the face, and fled the premises.

The owner of the affected company was swiftly sent to a nearby hospital for treatment, and fortunately, the injury does not appear to be one that is likely to result in the owner’s death.

Parrish was taken into custody by law enforcement after being located in the area close to the company.

One count of attempted murder has been brought against Parrish, and the bond for this accusation is set at sixty thousand dollars.
