After reportedly trying to set up a sexual meeting with a girl he thought was eight years old, a local man who works at the Mayo Clinic is now imprisoned.
As neighbors processed the shocking information, shockwaves went through the neighborhood. “I’m surprised,” a neighbor exclaimed, expressing his horror. I simply find it unbelievable.
Families in St. John’s County are in disbelief after learning that the Jacksonville and Clay County Sheriff’s Offices collaborated to capture their neighbor.
The arrest report states that Chad Sadlowski, a 33-year-old respiratory therapist at the Mayo Clinic, used the Whisper app to communicate with what he thought was a little girl. But it was an undercover policeman.
The details of his communications aren’t public because they were so explicit, but when he set up a location for the illegal meeting, the police became involved and on April 28th, JSO arrested him.
Sadlowski’s house was next to a field that kids used to play in, and the neighbors were worried about it.
One local said, “There are dozens of kids in this area right across the street from his house every evening.”

Sadlowski’s youngster was brought up by a neighbor who frequently saw him playing outside with him.
“When I catch him out, he’s usually playing outside with his kid. He strikes me as a genuinely kind family man. Without hesitation, I would have invited him around for dinner,” the neighbor said.
Another neighbor said, “I’m not happy.”
Sadlowski is charged with a number of serious offenses, such as providing or encouraging a performance involving minors engaging in sexual acts, soliciting consent from parents or guardians via computer, utilizing a two-way communication device without authorization, and traveling to a meeting after doing so.
He has a $250,000 bail in place right now.
