Community Stunned as Severed Body Parts, Woman's Head Found in Nearby Park

A gruesome crime scene was discovered in Long Island last Thursday when a young girl stumbled upon severed body parts in a park in Babylon, New York. Suffolk County police reported finding body parts belonging to a man and a woman, including a head, leg, and multiple arms.

The unsettling discovery began with a left arm found by a student walking to school around 8:40 a.m. on the eastern end of Southards Pond Park.

The student immediately alerted her father, who called 911. Later, a right arm, also with tattoos, was found about 20 feet away from the initial discovery site.

On the western side of the park, a cadaver dog located a woman’s leg in a mound of leaves as homicide detectives continued their investigation.

Subsequently, on Friday morning, an arm and a head belonging to a female victim were found on the western side of the park, though no tattoos were observed on the female’s arms.

Authorities believe that all the recovered body parts belong to just two individuals, a man and a woman. The investigation into these deaths is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
