On Thursday, country music artist Darius Rucker was taken into custody in Tennessee for minor narcotics crimes.
Rucker, 57, was jailed on three different offenses, a Williamson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman in Tennessee confirmed to The Post.
The member of Hootie & the Blowfish was charged on one count of breaking the state’s car registration legislation and two counts of simple possession/casual exchange of a prohibited drug.
To put it plainly, Rucker was reportedly involved in a narcotics deal, and the police said that his tags had expired. His mug shot showed him as impassive as ever.
“Darius Rucker is fully cooperating with authorities related to misdemeanor charges,” his attorney said in a statement provided to The Post on Thursday.
The vocalist of “Wagon Wheel” was freed after posting a $10,500 bond. Rucker reminisced on his near-arrest incident with fellow country music artist Rascal Flatts in a 2021 TikTok.
He wrote as the caption for the video, “There’s never a boring time on the road with Rascal Flatts!”
“We just got out of the golf cart and started walking back, and we were leaving Gary right there. He was going to jail by himself, we were out of there,” he further added.
“But, obviously none of us went to jail, our security came over and got us,” he stated in the end. “But, that was one of the few nights of my life I thought I was going to jail.”
