It is predicted that Colorado’s high country will receive 1-2 feet of snow on average, with accumulations expected in Denver on Wednesday.
Both travel and weather were highly active throughout this week. Let’s take it apart. The I-25 corridor will get a brief snowfall and rainstorm overnight on Sunday.
The west side of the Denver metro region and foothills, as well as the Palmer Divide, are predicted to have a slushy trace of up to an inch. Travel in these locations is expected to be slick.
The Continental Divide could get up to 10″ of slick driving on Sunday evening and Monday morning.
On Monday, there will likely be a lull during the day, so I would advise completing any high country travel. Snowfall is expected to start Monday night and last until early Thursday morning.
We might be monitoring more than 48 hours of continuous snowfall in the highlands. There is a chance of 1-2+ feet of snow, which is why winter storm watches are issued.

The Front Range will see snowfall from Tuesday evening into Wednesday. Although there is still a lot of uncertainty, we anticipate a 2- to 5-inch storm at the airport. Over the Palmer Divide, heavier accumulations are anticipated.
On Wednesday, there will be challenging travel conditions on parts of I-25 all day.
