On Tuesday night, severe storms caused trees to fall over the Delaware Valley and may have also resulted in an apartment fire that prompted multiple people to be evacuated.
A tree toppled on a house in New Castle County, sending two people to the hospital. It took place at a house on Wilmington, Delaware’s Durboraw Road shortly before nine o’clock at night. Following intense storms in the area, a tree fell into an occupied residence, prompting authorities to take action.
According to officials, two persons were taken to Christiana Hospital in unclear conditions. Regarding this occurrence, no more details have been made public.
In Downington, Chester County, a house was also struck by falling tree. It took place at a Mulligan Court home. There were no reported injuries in that incident.
Due to the extreme weather, a fire broke out in an apartment complex in South Jersey on Tuesday night, forcing numerous occupants to evacuate. It took place at the Heritage Grove Apartments in Vorhees, Camden County, at around 9:30 p.m.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they discovered flames and smoke shooting from the roof. Reports state that locals told emergency personnel that a lightning strike started the fire. Whether that was the cause is still being looked into by the authorities.
Authorities report that shortly before 10:20 p.m., the fire was brought under control. Nine people, some of whom were children, were forced to flee their homes as a result of the fires, which affected six apartments in all.
At the scene, no injuries were recorded. The displaced are receiving aid from the Red Cross.
