Authorities are searching for a man accused of tracking an elderly woman to her residence after a shopping excursion and assaulting her at her doorstep.
The incident initiated at a store in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on Monday, located in the 400 block of Putnam Road. The Virginia Beach Police Department reported that the man started following the elderly woman within the store for reasons currently undisclosed.
In a statement released after the incident, the Virginia Beach Police Department stated that “the man followed the woman throughout the store she was shopping in. He then followed her out of the store, making lewd comments to her in the parking lot.”
The woman later drove away from the location to head home. Unaware of it, the suspect trailed her in his car, eventually assaulting her at her front door, according to the police.
The Virginia Beach Police Department released a statement after the event, characterizing the suspect as a “Black male wearing glasses, a black hair covering, a red long sleeve shirt, jeans, and boots.” The motivation for the attack is yet unknown.
According to authorities, the suspect was operating a “white 4-door Buick sedan with a spare tire on the rear driver’s side. ”
The car has tinted windows, a sunroof, and Virginia tags—the last four of which might be”7663″—attached to it. The car doesn’t have a front tag.
