MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a man from Brandon, Florida, who was 53 years old, was killed early on Wednesday morning after his pickup truck slid off the roadway on Interstate 75 in Manatee County, near the interchange with Interstate 275. The location of the accident was in Manatee County.
The state police have stated that the individual was driving his car in a northerly direction on the highway at around 12:15 in the morning when he lost control of his vehicle as he was approaching a right-hand curve.
The truck crossed over onto the grass median and collided with a cable barrier made of steel. There were no injuries reported.
The possibility that the motorist was experiencing a medical emergency while they were operating a motor vehicle is being investigated by state police at this time.
After the collision, the driver was taken to the hospital, where it was reported that he did not make it through his stay. The findings of the investigators support this hypothesis.
