The Social Security Administration set the December 1 SSI payment date on November 29. Since the first of next month is not a business day, there won’t be a check on deposit on the regular day. Rather, it will arrive two days earlier than anticipated.
Before 2025 arrives, will an SSI payment be made after November 29?
In fact, on December 31, 2024, the Social Security Administration confirms that there will be another payout. Consequently, recipients will get further Supplemental Security Income payments this year after the one that was delivered to their bank accounts on November 29.

Maximum SSI payments for couples
In 2024, the maximum benefit amount that a recipient of Supplemental Security Income can receive is $943. Beginning on December 31, 2024, an individual will receive up to $967 due to the 2.5% 2025 COLA rise.
However, the cost-of-living adjustment in 2025 will provide eligible married couples with up to $1,450. This sum is higher than $1,415. You should not receive any reductions in order to obtain such a substantial sum.
For married couples on SSI, having no resources and no income is the simplest way to be eligible for the highest benefits. Naturally, you have to:
- Possess a qualifying disability, or
- Be without sight, or
- Be 65 or older.
Only $472 in 2024 and $484 in 2025 will be given to an essential person.
