The Florida Highway Patrol says they have caught a woman in connection with a case of road rage. The suspect is said to have climbed on top of a car after a small accident while she was with another guy.
On April 11, the FHP said that a 2019 Chevy Sedan driven by a 31-year-old man was in a small car accident with two other people.
In a video that the FHP shared to social media, the man can be heard shouting “Get out of the car!” while the woman can be seen punching the window of the car.
Shaniah Faith Cofield, the woman who FOX 13 says was involved in the incident, was taken into custody. Peter Allen McClarin, the guy who police say was involved in the event, has not yet been taken into custody.
Officials said that the man tried to break the car window with a gun at one point.
At one point, the woman was seen jumping on the hood of the car while it was stopped at a light.
Troopers said that at least one shot was fired at the Chevy before the witness recorded the event from her car.
The witness told someone else that the driver of the Chevy hit the couple’s car and tried to drive away.
In the video, the person who was inside the car as a witness told the two people that they should call the police instead of trying to break into the car.
“Hey, call the cops!” the witness yelled. “You’re gonna go to jail. Don’t go to jail!”
