Early on Sunday morning, Julio Foolio, a rapper from Florida, was shot and died in a Tampa hotel parking lot. Lewis Fusco, his attorney, confirmed his passing.
A spokesman for Tampa Police, Jonee Lewis, said at a press conference that the police were summoned to the Holiday Inn Tampa North at 4:40 a.m. after reports of firing at two automobiles and four persons being hit by it.
Although Charles Jones, 26, was thought to be one of the victims, authorities stated that the medical examiner must establish his identity.
Following the shooting, three more people suffered injuries.
As there were too many people at the Airbnb, Fusco said that Foolio was asked to leave when he was in Tampa celebrating his birthday. Afterward, he proceeded to the Holiday Inn, where Fusco informed him that he was ambushed.
Using his Instagram feed, Foolio—who has over a million followers—shared and advertised that he was celebrating his birthday in Tampa.

Lewis stated that although hotel guests were not evacuated, police were present to provide assistance to them if needed. To help with the investigation, police are asking members of the public to donate any footage or information they may have.
“If you saw something or heard something any little detail can help us figure out what happened this morning,” Lewis stated.
