Largest benefits under SNAP prior to September 11, 2024

Before September 11, the State of Hawaii will mail the largest Food Stamp checks. Although Alaska delivers larger amounts, this State’s contributions ended on September 1st, therefore there are no funds remaining there for this month.

In Hawaii, a family of four can get up to $1,759 via SNAP, but an individual can only receive $527. In a home with eight persons, the maximum amount may be $3,166.

Remember that in the 48 contiguous states, an individual’s maximum SNAP benefit can be up to $291. $8,751 for a family of eight, and $973 for a family of four.

Thus, there is a notable distinction. The District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Guam have additional paydays listed below. Guam is able to send $8,581 in total.

  • Guam: 1–10 September
  • Puerto Rico: 4–22 September
  • September 1–10 in the District of Columbia
