Georgia’s Attorney General Chris Carr said that following a significant gang and drug trafficking investigation, 30 people were indicted on over 300 counts.
The almost thirty-six individuals were charged on multiple charges by a jury on Tuesday.
“With our Gang Prosecution Unit, we’re fighting to dismantle the criminal street gangs that continue to terrorize entire neighborhoods and our most vulnerable Georgians,” Carr stated. “We will not waver when it comes to keeping people safe, enforcing the law, and ensuring those who engage in violent activity are vigorously pursued and aggressively prosecuted.”
The Richmond County to Central Savannah River region was the focus of the multi-agency investigation, which got underway in February 2022.
Law authorities claimed to be actively monitoring the Trap Money street gang, a hybrid criminal organization. According to a news release, they are well-known for being associated with both the Nine Trey Gangster Bloods and the Inglewood Family Gangster Bloods.

According to the attorney general’s news release, authorities think the 30 individuals planned to conduct crimes and gather cash, weapons, and controlled narcotics together.
According to state officials, agencies found 64 firearms, nine automobiles, two houses, 7.5 kg of fentanyl, 16 kg of cocaine, 278 pounds of marijuana, and 2 pounds of methamphetamine during the investigation. They also seized $492,733.
Operation “No Loyalty,” an effort to dismantle gangs, involved the GBI, FBI gang task force, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Postal Service inspection, Georgia Department of Corrections, and numerous other agencies.
“Augusta and all of Georgia is a safer place today now that this criminal activity has been disrupted,” FBI Atlanta’s Supervisory Senior Resident Agent Matt Ploskunak stated. “We will continue to make cutting-edge resources and expertise available to support our state and local partners and help identify and dismantle these criminal organizations.”
