High-Speed Police Chase in Broken Arrow Leads to Arrest of Georgia Woman

After leading police on a chase on Monday afternoon, a Georgian woman was taken into custody in Broken Arrow, according to the police.

Amanda Williams, 34, was allegedly attempting to cash a $2,000 check at the Bank of Oklahoma near Lynn Lane and the Broken Arrow Expressway using a stolen ID, according to BAPD.

Williams reportedly drove away from the bank drive-thru and reached speeds of up to 90 mph on Lynn Lane before police arrived.

The suspect led police on a chase until crashing out close to 51st and Lynn Lane, according to BAPD. During the chase, the suspect struck several other cars and entered oncoming traffic.

Williams fled into the woods, according to the police, but was apprehended shortly after.

“Officers located 12.51 grams of Fentanyl inside her purse along with numerous credit cards, debit cards, checks, social security cards, and drivers licenses belonging to other people.” Broken Arrow police stated.

Following his arrest, Williams was charged with aggravated fentanyl trafficking, felony evasion, identity theft, possession of CDS paraphernalia, uttering a forged instrument, and possessing stolen property.
